Developing competences in working with Oracle products

Over a year has passed since EBS Partners AG, a member of the AsstrA AG holding, acquired the status of the Oracle Gold Partner. During all that time, the company continued to develop the competences in the field of deployment and support of the software products provided by the worldwide software development leader.

In this regard, one of the important areas is the various educational programs and training modules for the employees, organized within the framework of Oracle’s global activities in various countries around the world.In particular, in late September, Yelena Deletz, the specialist of the logistics consulting company EBS Partners AG, received the certificate having completed the 5-day training course “OTM 6.2 Functional Implementation Boot Camp”.

The specialists of EBS Partners AG shared their experiences at the Oracle AppsForum 2011.

On April 7, 2011, in the Radisson SAS Slavyanskaya Hotel (Moscow), a diversified business Forum on management strategies and innovative solutions was held – the Oracle AppsForum 2011, organized by the Oracle Corporation, the world’s largest producer of the most complete, open and integrated software and hardware systems of the corporate class.

The representatives of the international transportation and logistics holding AsstrA, Dmitry Lagun, Vice-President of the Board of Directors, and Vyacheslav Gural, the Project Manager at the sub-holding EBS Partners AG (Oracle Gold Partner) were invited to speak at the forum. In particular, Mr. Lagoon presented the report: “Practical experience of deployment of Oracle OeBS, OTM and BI in the international logistics holding AsstrA”, and Vyacheslav Gural described the experience of the successful OTM deployment in a logistics company.

AsstrA manages transportation orders using Oracle Transportation Management.

The international transportation and logistics holding AsstrA created the new operating system for transportation orders management. The core of the system is the solution Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), bringing together the world’s best practices in the field of logistics companies’ processes management.

During the first project phase, the single centralized platform was deployed for transportation operations management in the transportation holding company’s head office in Zurich, Switzerland, and in its Belarusian branches in Minsk and Brest. The commercial operation started in autumn of 2010.

The second phase implied the deployment of the system in all the offices of the AsstrA holding in 10 countries. The new corporate system will optimize the management of the transportation operations, and provide the opportunity to develop AsstrA technologically for more rapid and qualitative analysis and evaluation of the promising trends and markets.
